THE BUSINESS OF PERSONNEL CONSULTING TRAINING AND ACCREDITATION PROGRAM
We are now offering a brand new comprehensive self-study training and accreditation program, The Business of Personnel Consulting, that covers the placement process. This unique training tool covers specific techniques on the essentials of a successful placement, along with scripted examples of what to say. Particular attention is given to help you truly understand the pressures that both client and candidate face with each step of the hiring decision.
Avoid Legal Landmines
Client companies have emphatically voiced concerns that staffing consultants should understand the legal requirements necessary to protect the actions taken during the hiring process. Personnel laws and business ethics that govern the staffing industry's role in representing clients and candidates are discussed in detail. Completing this program will provide the staffing consultant with an understanding of how to avoid legal landmines.
Flexible Study Plans
This course can be used as an individualized self-study program or as a team review project. You will review the study material and then complete the study question answer sheet. No time deadlines have been given to finish the course work. However, local associations will be conducting fall and spring accreditation days to review the course assignments. Discussion sessions will be held to ensure that those who have completed the review have gained a thorough understanding of the study material.
Accreditation Certificates
Accreditation certificates will be awarded to all who successfully complete the study answer sheet. You may refer to the textbook when completing the answer sheet. Answers may be submitted by using the CD ROM version and emailing your answers to tapc4u@sbcglobal.net or by completing the hard copy provided with the textbook and mailing to the Executive Director of TAPC.

CERTIFICATION
In recent months, the NAPS has made many changes to the certification eligibility requirements. It is the intent of the NAPS to first educate individuals in this profession so that they may best serve their customers, whether that customer is the client company hiring official, candidate, or even fellow recruiters. The CPC and the CTS examinations are available at any time. However, it is strongly suggested that the individual first obtain the study materials and become familiar with the content. Individuals seeking NAPS certification must first meet certain certification eligibility requirements:
- CPC and PRC candidates should be experienced in direct hire placements. Position experience includes: owner, partner, manager, recruiter, placement consultant within a private firm; or corporate human resources or employee relations professional within a large corporation.
- CTS and PRC candidates should be experienced in temporary staffing. Position experience includes: owner, partner, manager or staffing professional working full time in a temporary service business.
- Candidates must agree to uphold the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) Standards of Ethical Practices and certification program rules.
- Candidates seeking the PRC designation must complete two exams to qualify. Candidates must pass either the CPC or CTS exam, along with the PRC exam.
